2. How do you attach your Microring extensions?
Microring extensions are available with sticks (I-Tips) or as Microring extensions with loops. With Microring I-Tip bonding extensions, there is a stick-shaped bonding at the top end of the hair strands. To attach these, you need a threading aid (needle) and Microring pliers.
Microring loop extensions, on the other hand, already have a practical loop for threading your natural hair into the Microring. After attaching them, you simply press the Microring shut with the pliers.
Tip: We advise beginners to have Microring extensions applied professionally. Hairdressers know exactly how many strands are needed for an attractive result.
3. How exactly does hair lengthening with Microrings work?
Unlike bonding or tape extensions, Microring extensions work without glue or heat. With a little experience and patience, you can also create your new look yourself at home.
Important: Thoroughly clean your natural hair of styling and care products before application. It is best to use a clarifying shampoo, otherwise the strands may slip.
And here’s how it works: wash hair, dry, and comb through well. Then work from bottom to top. Section your hair at neck height and use a sectioning clip for the top layer. Now pull a strand of natural hair through the Microring using the needle (or the loop) and press it firmly shut with the Microring pliers.
4. How long do human hair extensions with Microrings last?
With proper care, a micro hair lengthening will bring you joy for two to four months – depending on how fast your natural hair grows. The best part: you can reuse the strands afterwards! Simply bend the Microring open again with the pliers, move the strands up, and fix them with new Microrings.

Each pack contains 25 human hair strands. How many you need depends on your desired look:
- Hair thickening: approx. 50 to 150 strands
- Hair lengthening: approx. 150 to 250 strands
For fine natural hair, 4-6 packs are usually sufficient; for normal density, 5-8 packs; and for very full hair, 7-9 packs (based on 1g strands).
